Norona is Back and Excited for Winter
Having just arrived back from a month in Baja (Kite Surfing and Mtbing) I was eager to get out and find some powder on my new G3 Highballs. Well this past week has been pretty dry and although it has been sunny, we want SNOW!
But just to rub it in, living in BC means that when the snow is hard and icy we can head off and do other things. This past week I have enjoyed 4 epic hikes, 2 trials rides, 2 short ski tours, 1 massive day breaking in my new sled, a cold swim in the ocean and a sweet ride on a new 29’r! It all reminds me why I love making my home in North Vancouver!
I love heading down to G3 as they always have something cool on the go and this week was no different. I was handed a small box that said “LOVE Glove” on it and Rob told me to give them a try and tell me what I thought, Hmmmm?
Well here it is a cool new product from G3, some people (me included) will really appreciate these!
In between hitting the snow a few times this warmer weather has made the North Shore Trails Awesome! Marin just sent me a 29’R test bike as I have been a non-believer for a long time! Not so anymore, the hype is real!
Soon the powder will return and we will be heading off into the mountains to rip it up! Let's not forget that there are amazing people out there constantly studying snow conditions, and companies like G3 building awesome products for us to study conditions with or pack to be prepared with for safe travel in the backcountry! So a reminder for all of us snow shredders out there, take an Avalanche Skills Course, check the conditions in your area and practice with your gear! Here is a little reminder video - 10 things to bring in the backcountry!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! dave
