Rugby anyone? Be there Aug. 5 in SLC...
Lest it be said we have a one-track mind around here at G3, we do think about things other than skiing.
Mountain biking, for instance. Climbing, of course, And rugby… a natural! Who doesn't like sports where beer is part and parcel?
So, for the second year, G3 is sponsoring the 'Hookers and Grubbers' rugby match at the Outdoor Retailer summer trade show. If you're not familiar, you can catch some good moments from last year's match in this story on SNEWS, the outdoor industry trade publication.
And G3 isn't just sponsoring: Global Sales Manager Scott Duer is one of the key organizers, and NE sales rep Tom McCarthy is the team coach. We'll be there in the thick of it!
Beyond being just a fun event and a way to blow of some steam outdoors after a day of being inside a trade show hall (as great as Outdoor Retailer is for a trade show, it's still a trade show, and it's still indoors), it's also a good cause. This year, all proceeds from the event go to benefit the Conservation Aliiance.

It's a good thing, though, that's its something of an amateur match. We'll be the first to admit we're better at skiing!
