Skigraphiks Round 4 Winner Announced
Congratulations are in order for artist Patrik Johansson, who was just announced as the winner of our fourth and final round of the 2012 Skiraphiks Contest, in partnership with Backcountry Magazine. His winning design, dubbed Skis of Anarchy, features an American flag background with a skull and a skier featured on the topsheet of G3’s Infidel skis.
A professional graphic artist and avid watcher of the TV series Sons of Anarchy, Johansson wanted to create a topsheet that had a “kick ass rough looking biker design” and that reflected the look and feel of Sons of Anarchy.
Johannson will take home a pair of Infidels with his winning design atop the skis. He looks forward to using the skis in the backcountry in Europe and hopes to some day make the journey across the Atlantic to Canada or the US to find out if the snow is as good as the magazines claim.
We want to extend a huge thanks not only to Patrik but to all the participants of this year's highly successful Skigraphiks Contest. 4 rounds, 4 months, and 4 amazing batches of creative entries from skiers and artists around the world. And of course dare we forget our industry partners who are helping bring these custom graphics to life by making a limited quantity available for ordering online; Backcountry.com, MountainGear.com, BentGate.com, and BackcountryMagazine.com.
But the free stuff hasn't come to an end yet! In the next few days, a final design will be chosen as Grand Prize winner by G3. The grand-prize winner will receive a ski package valued at over $1,400. The package will include a pair of skis with their winning top-sheet graphic, as well as G3 skins and G3 bindings.
