G3 gear ambassador Alex Geary checked in with some great photos and a trip report from guiding the Northern Selkirks Traverse. Here's the goods...

On Friday May 31st, I finished my last ski trip of the spring with Ruedi Beglinger and Selkirk Mountain Experience. We were supposed to fly in several tent camps in advance and traverse from Mt Holway to the Durrand Glacier, but due to fog we couldn’t fly in the camps. Instead we spent the week ski mountaineering from the Moloch Hut (we were all more than happy to spend our nights in a hut given the forecast for the week).

After a great week ski guiding the Haute Route (Part 1) and then Glarus, CH (Part 2), Alex Geary's guided wanderings continued. Lucky guy. Here's his trip report, in photos.

After spending another night in Glarus, we caught the train early up to the Jungfraujoch, “The Top of Europe”, and the start of a week on the Berner Oberland.

After a great Haute Route trip, our second trip started on May 2nd in Glarus, Switzerland, the valley where Ruedi grew up.

Day one we made it up to the summit of the Gemsfairenstock just in time for the weather to turn, so we skied to the Clariden Hut.

G3's multi-talented Jr Engineer / super-ripper Bayden Hamilton just sent us this report from a ski trip that was only a few weeks ago. Suddenly we miss winter, a lot! Here's his story...

G3’s Alpinist Splitboard Skin has risen to the need in creating a functional splitboard skin that features an innovative tip and tail clip for the offset skis of traditional splitboards on the market.

Generally at the end of each winter season I try to organize some sort of interesting ski camp. The idea is to travel to an iconic spot in the mountains, post up for a week or 10 days and climb and ski. Its a great way for me to wind down the winter and get inspired by new terrain.

The group is a collection of friends and although it is a guided trip, the level of skill and fitness amongst the individuals is very high.

Thank you to everyone who participated in G3's 'Touring Season' Contest. It's great to see everyone still jazzed about skiing while others are busy rushing into summer. In G3's backyard we've been lucky enough to enjoy both this month! The weather gods have dished out everything from cold, wintery powder days to hot, sunny biking/climbing/kiting days. No complaints!

Owls couloir has been the objective but Mt.Cook keeps blocking. I've been wanting to ski this line since I did the Wedge to Currie traverse from parking lot to Pemberton in under 22 hours with my brother and a couple of elite mountain bike racers back in the 90s.

It's close but far as day trips go. I've spent a lot of time in the Wedge area from the introduction to mountaineer days. Neck belays, grovelling on the south side of Wedge up the boulder fields and cornice drops on the NE arete.
