A certified Swiss and Canadian Mountain Guide, Ruedi was born and raised in the Swiss Alps and has been on skis since the age of three. Averaging between 170 and 200 days each season guiding ski-mountaineering, Ruedi has 164 first ascents to his credit and has guided Europe’s Haute Route on 53 different occasions. Ruedi is internationally recognized as a notable guide, accomplished mountaineer and the owner/operator of Selkirk Mountain Experience. Ruedi is based out of Revelstoke, BC. G3 Gear Story:
Every winter I guide ski mountaineering and powder-snow ski-touring for 200 days straight at Canada’s Durrand Glacier Chalet and around the world. This adds up each season to over 1 million vertical feet of ski-climbing and breaking trail in deep powder-snow. I am human, I get just as physically tired as anybody else. My engine is fueled by the passion and enthusiasm I have towards skiing, guiding and high mountains. It is essential for me to have a ski that supports my performance level as a mountain guide. Not just for its ease of turning in all types of snow, but also in having fun while ripping that special line in big alpine terrain.
