Top 5 reasons for rugby at Outdoor Retailer
1) A Great Cause, co-sponsored by G3: All proceeds go to The Conservation Alliance.
2) Good Grub: The party venue has changed to Maxwell’s East Coast Eatery. New, hip, and delicious, a Maxwell’s post-match meal is part of the deal (357 S. Main, SLC).
3) Music! The Hookers and Grubbers Choir, DJ Silver, and George “The Hack” will be providing beats and tunes all evening.
4) Cool Clothes: Hookers and Grubbers RFC rugby jerseys. They’re pretty sweet. Purchase yours for $35 at the Aloe Up booth #132 on August 4 (all day) or August 5 (until 3:30). You need one to participate.
5) Beers for a Buck: provided by Big Sky and SKA Beverage, your favorite brews will be $1 at the after party.
It might not make ESPN news, but the “ Hookers and Grubbers Rugby Match” will be the game of the week at Outdoor Retailer next Friday, August 5. Sweat, tears, mud, and a good cause, this entertaining event is back for its third year at OR.
The all-out event will take place at the pitch at 1990 Potter Street, on the University of Utah campus (same location as last year) starting at 7pm sharp. $35 will buy you a spot in the game, an RFC Jersey, a Camelbak water bottle, a few beers, and a post-game dinner at Maxwell’s.
Even if you don’t want to get grubby, come out to cheer for your favorite team and support The Conservation Alliance.
