Transition of the seasons ... sort of

G3 Team Manager Dave Norona is always stoked, always ready to get out there. He shared this photo of a recent spring tour (Yeah, doesn't really look like spring, does it?) and some thoughts on the subject. Based on Dave's observations, maybe it's time to point the car toward the West Coast?

There are not many things that can beat a bright sunny day in the mountains surrounded by your best friends and some light fluffy powder!

Spring has arrived, but here on the coast over the last few weeks you would never know it. Cold temps and dump after dump of epic proportions has been more the order of the day. I am not complaining, as I'll take winter as long as I can get it.

This last week, however, the snow eased up and the dark clouds were replaced by clear, cold, sunny skies, and it was go time. Welcome to spring!

Ski touring is such a great sport - you get fitness and adrenalin all packed into a day! Whether you like to tour more or charge hard lines, there is no right or wrong.

The best thing about spring is the longer daylight hours that almost make it impossible to guess the time. That, and the hot sun that warms your body as you stop to take in your surroundings!

If you haven't been out much lately, now is the time to get out and explore those secret stashes or your old reliable areas and have some fun … cause soon all that white stuff will be gone! Enjoy!
