Zest

This is a wide-bodied ski that women can take anywhere and count on every day. Its wider dimensions deliver unquestionable float and cruising ability, while JoyRide technology insures that it remains effortless and nimble in all conditions. Early tip rise, reduced camber underfoot, low mass tip geometry and a dual density sidewall make the Zest an award-winning ski for those women who want to play hard all over the mountain.

This is less of a review and

This is less of a review and more of a question. What is the turning radius on the G3 Zest?

G3 doesn't offer turning

G3 doesn't offer turning radius statistics as we don't use a simple arc when we design a ski side cut. This makes it impossible to offer accurate sidecut radii. G3's unique sidecuts have a curve that continuously changes in radius along the length of the ski. We could give you an approximate radius, but this value would not accurately position the arc on the ski and would not tell you how and where it merges to a tip and tail transition. Thus, giving you a sidecut radius or turning radius alone is relatively meaningless.

Many other factors like width, torsional rigidity, flex distribution, snow conditions, skier ability, and weight also contribute to how a ski performs and feels.

hello i am looking for a ski

hello
i am looking for a ski that handles long tours and is great to ski down with as well.
I am an aggressive skier and a guide and need a ski that is good to up and great to go down.
realistically how is the zest by long tours....
and how would it compare with the lucious...
i like that the zest comes in a 172 length...and the lucious is 165?
thanks very much for you help

In terms of long tours, the

In terms of long tours, the Zest is fairly light weight for a fat ski, and compared to the Luscious it has early tip rise.

Just got a pair of these

Just got a pair of these babies and set them up with Black Diamond 01 bindings - for such a wide ski they do amazingly well on hard pack. Can really lay into my turns on these (as compared to my atomics which are way stiffer) . I think I'm in love ... or something like it. thx bunches!

Cool graphics on the

Cool graphics on the Zenoxide, cooler yet on the Tonics, but the Zest? Downright hideous. I really want to get these for the wife but do not know if I can get by the bird dropping look.

Question: since the Zest has

Question: since the Zest has reduced stiffness to match the level of aggression that your company purports women lack, how does this ski handle in crud or knee-deep solid wet stuff that we seem to get so much of in the PNW?

Thanks!

Any chanceof getting a 172

Any chanceof getting a 172 Tonic?

What is the difference in

What is the difference in construction between Tonic and Zest? Is the Zest just less stiff. I'm torn between 172 Zest and 177 Tonic and wanted to find out if there are differences other than length.

The Zest skis very similar to

The Zest skis very similar to the Tonic, and is a good choice if you are looking for something a little shorter.

Today was our first ever ride

Today was our first ever ride on 166cm Zest. 100mm waist, with ordinary Marker bindings on 18 cm of inbounds fresh powder. SEN -BLOODY-SATIONAL! We switched up from 158 Sirens with 88mm waist. Whoa! Still love the Sirens too, but we're going to ship them to New Zealand for the winter there.

p.s. 63 years old and totally loving these babies!
