G3 Standard Ski Construction
Standard Construction
We start every ski by incorporating our standard construction. For some models, that’s all they require.
- Macroblock Core
- Hi quality wood laminate
- Best strength-to-weight ratio
- Wood type varies depending on ski model
- Electra Sintered Base
- Abrasion resistant P-Tex 2000 is our optimal choice for durability and glide. (Generally, as the number corresponding to the molecular structure gets higher the base gets harder and has increased glide but also becomes less durable due to the increased hardness.)
- Electrically and thermally conductive = able to dissipate the static charge and heat that builds up between the snow surface and the base of the ski
- Black graphite = fast glide
- Multi Axial Fiberglass Sandwich
- 4 layers of fiberglass reinforcement maximize overall strength and rigidity
- 0-90 degree fibers = longitudinal and lateral rigidity
- +/- 45 degree fibers = torsional rigidity
- SemiCap Construction
- Benefits of both capped and sandwich construction
- Capped construction at tip and tail = increased torsional rigidity for higher performance, increased durability and tolerance for edge abuse
- Sandwich construction underfoot = smooth, damp, solid feel as well as increased edge control
- We start every ski by incorporating our standard construction. For some models, that’s all they require.
