G3 started its journey toward lean manufacturing a couple of years ago. With time and focus we have inched our way to reaping its reward of efficient manufacturing. We have taken time out to train and educate people in the shop about “value added and non-value added activities”, expand and re-layout our production floor, and re-engineer how we make our products. Upfront, we have taken steps toward designing our products for manufacturability, improved vendor quality and reliability, and planned for just-in-time production allowing us to react to customer needs.
