Last day of winter was well spent!

An inspiring trip report from G3 gear tester Ziff.

Sometimes good days in the backcountry occur when you least expect it, at least that was how I felt after my last trip.

I was finishing up a crazy two weeks at work while also busily planning for a 5 day traverse in the later half of my two week break, when all of a sudden the forecast was looking good for Sunday.  Perhaps the enchainment I have always wanted to do would fit the bill.  A few emails back and forth to Ryan (he was game), a quick text message to Jake (also game), another email from Ryan letting me know Marc was in and then the next thing I know, it is 1:25am and my alarm is sounding and I am wide awake, wondering how the day will go.  The super moon seemed to energize us as we cruised into Cerise Creek on the last day of winter.  My iPhone photographs don't do the day justice, but check out Ryan's wonderful TR at Turns-all-Year for more to the story and better photos.
