Thank you to everyone who participated in G3's 'Touring Season' Contest. It's great to see everyone still jazzed about skiing while others are busy rushing into summer. In G3's backyard we've been lucky enough to enjoy both this month! The weather gods have dished out everything from cold, wintery powder days to hot, sunny biking/climbing/kiting days. No complaints!

I attempted this line a couple of weeks ago from the snowmobile accessible side of the peak, with my friend Naomi. Unfortunately new snow and warming temps aren't a great mix, so our day was doomed from the get-go. Heavy snow was sticking to our skins like you wouldn't believe. Wax didn't help, and after dragging those leg weights through avi debris, high winds, and faiding light, I was forced to pull the plug and try again another day.

After a beauty weekend of backcountry riding at Mt Baker, WA, G3 employee Eric Simon was chompin' for more. When he saw the Mt Baker Splitfest on the calendar 2 weeks later, he grabbed fellow G3 snowboarder Mike Coletti and ambushed the event with style. Here's his update...

G3 Gear Ambassador Alex Geary has been having one heck of a season guiding for our friends at Selkirk Mountain Experience. Here's his latest update, and judging by the photos, there's plenty of G3 fans on the trip...

Last week at Selkirk Mountain Experience we finally settled into a stable weather pattern after two months of consistent storms and fog. It was great to finally be in the alpine and be able to see where we were going without having to rely on the GPS.

In an effort to showcase the wide (or should we say wild) variety of skiers and riders using G3 Climbing Skins and the places they take them, the Show Us Some Skin project was born. The premise was simple: head out into the backcountry, do something inspiring, creative, adventurous or just plain awesome with your climbing skins, take a picture, and share it. Oh, and of course if you paid homage to the 'Show Us Some Skin' namesake, bonus points were awarded.

With such an incredible participation level in this year's G3 + Backcountry Magazine Skigraphiks Contest, there was no shortage of high quality entries. But someone had to emerge as the winner, and Franz Vilsmeier did just that with his 'Frozen Watercolours' design. Now a few weeks later, his custom skis have been produced and delivered and are looking sweet!

As a part of G3 & Powder Magazine's 'Show Us Some Skin' project this past month, we've been asking you all about what cool places your G3 skins have taken you lately.

OK, well maybe we've encouraged you to actually 'show some skin' as well. But going back to that first point about where they've taken you, we think this one ranks high on the list.
