Last week i guided a skitouring trip in Switzerland. The area is called "Bernina". A part of the "Est Alps" which are usually smaller peaks than the "West Alps". Nevertheless, the Piz Bernina is the only mountain in the East Alps which is a 4000m peak. Luck was with us and we found perfect conditions. Sunshine, cold temps for April and some fresh snow on the glaciers. 3 days of touring in awsome terrain and finally we were able to climb up Piz Cambrena, the very famous Piz Palu and Piz Bernina. Usually, the Bernina Area is very busy in April, but this time, we were always a little piece ahead of the crowds.
Thanks Bernina for these days.
