G3 TARGA TELEMARK BINDING
EARNS 5TH COULOIR EDITOR'S CHOICE AWARD
N. VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA, December 9, 2005 - For the fifth year in a row, the G3 TARGA Telemark binding has earned a coveted Editor's Choice award from Couloir Magazine.
With its combination of reliability and performance, the TARGA has become the benchmark for telemark bindings. New additions to the TARGA line, such as the G3 TourThrow for low resistance climbing and the G3 Wedge for downhill performance have enhanced the TARGA appeal amongst telemark skiers worldwide.
"When we began work on the TARGA, we wanted to create a binding that was reliable and performance focused. Earning the Couloir Editor's Choice for 5 years running inspires us to continue innovating to create the best telemark bindings on the market" says Oliver Steffen, G3 President.

Editor's Choice, Tried & True - G3 TARGA
"Though there are several more active bindings on the market, the popularity of the TARGA family simply underscores the importance of striking a good balance between touring freedom and downhill power. One could argue that at either end of the free heel spectrum the TARGA is more compromise than balance, but when G3 adds the option of a Tour Throw to deliver more touring freedom, or a wedge underfoot for better downhill control, how can you deny their market supremacy? You can't. " - Couloir Magazine.
The TARGA series features three models: the lightweight, aluminum TARGA T/9, the durable, stainless steel TARGA and the smaller sized women's TARGA and TARGA T/9. TARGA bindings feature integrated shims and anti-ice plates, a choice of 3 interchangeable pre-compressed spring cartridges and quad-riveted toe boxes for optimal strength and durability.
Introduced last season, the G3 TARGA Wedge has also received an Honorable Mention for Best Accessory by Couloir Magazine. A TARGA accessory, the wedge fits between the toeplate and the shim, lifting the leading edge of a telemark toeplate up. The wedge provides a 5° incline to reduce the rocker launch and help preflex the boot for ready compression, "noticeably causing the boot to flex quicker and easier", as stated by Couloir Magazine.
