POWDER - Sept 2005
2006 Gear Guide
Matt Hansen

G3’s first-ever line of skis (all with vertically laminated wood cores) was introduced last fall and released in limited numbers over the winter. So for most skiers, this year will be the first chance they get to ski them. One of the sweetest tele boards out there, the Reverend unleashes your cravings for power, speed and huge turns. Not for the faint of heart, weak-kneed or dainty carver, the Reverend roars down the mountain with ferocity. With the Ticket, an ultra-snappy, relatively small ski that’s ideal at the resort, G3 scores again. The key to the Ticket is its asymmetrical sidecut, giving it a tighter radius on the ski’s outside edges to help it edge more effectively. For women, G3 provides the Siren, a ski with 88mm underfoot and quality that will bring it years of love. An aggressive ski, the Siren is wider than all other G3s save the Reverend.
