Chamonix, a Canadian Encounter, and a Classic Couloir

It all started with 3 skiers, all armed with G3 skis, walking down the 'James Bond' trail from the Aiguille du Midi in early May. When's Jamie Bond saw them pass by, he couldn't help but strike up conversation, having already assumed the skiers were all fellow Canadians. Sure enough the skiers were from BC, and like any good small world story, it turned out they had already worked together in past on some G3 initiatives.

Having just met in person, Dan Madell (Selkirk Mountain Experience), Carla Demyen (CMH) and Jamie Bond ( figured it would be rude not to meet up the next day with a hand full of G3 skis and go bag a true Chamonix classic - the Barbey Couloir off Aiguille d'Argentiere. Not a bad way to break in new ski partners eh? After all, a big dump of fresh snow in May should never go to waste! We'll let the photos and video do the talking.
