G3 has teamed up with 3 incredible athletes and some talented creators to create a new video series titled, “Explore.” In this series G3 joins Tanner Flanagan, Jasmin Caton, and James McSkimming as they explore their own greater backyards. Each athlete shares why they do what they do, revealing that there’s more to a skier’s life than just steep descents and face shots.
Cutting out the drama and frills, the Explore series aims to leave the ski community with content that is light-hearted, relatable, transparent, and approachable, just like the G3 brand. All episodes feature story direction and edits by Jamie Bond.
The first episode in the series features professional freeskier and Jackson Hole resident, Tanner Flanagan. Shot by Fredrik Marmsater, “Game On?” is set in Grand Teton National Park and is available now. This episode looks at what it takes to get to those dream lines and how the journey itself sets the stage for a great experience.
For the second installment of the series, ACMG Guide, Jasmin Caton, takes us, quite literally, into her backyard at family owned and operated Valhalla Mountain Touring. Featuring video by Nick Waggoner, “Guided by Curiosity” explores the risk, challenges, and rewards that accompany professional guiding. The episode is set to be released the third week of October.
Born and raised in Whistler, freerider James McSkimming rounds out the final episode by exploring a teeny, tiny slice of the backcountry terrain above Pemberton, BC - just outside Whistler. With video by Grant Baldwin and Jamie Bond, “Revelry” focuses on just how much fun it is to get out in the hills, to explore the backcountry, and have a great time with some friends. This episode is due for release the first week of November.
