Helicopters, Ropes & Powder! Joey Vosburgh's Season So Far
For the past many years I have selfishly chosen to shred away the winters in search of my own passions. This year however I made the decision to travel a different path, the path of becoming an ACMG Ski Guide. Armed with my G3 Black Sheep Splitboard (more on that soon!) and Alpinist Skins I've been attending the necessary courses and working as a guide at Selkirk Tangiers Heli and Whitecap Alpine. With less room in my bag than in previous years I've had to sacrifice my trusty DSLR for tools like first-aid kits, rescue t-bogs, ropes, radios and other mountain gaak.
However with my “magic wand” (iphone), Ive been able to keep shooting my adventures without being weighed down by a larger picture taking device.
These images portray my year so far. Its a balance of courses, training, work and play.
This is where my G3 gear has taken me.... enjoy.
