Vancouver CAC Backcountry Avalanche Workshop
Saturday was the 6th annual CAC Backcountry Avalanche Workshop in Vancouver, a full day of lectures from a range of enthusiasts and professionals about all aspects of avalanche safety. This year’s theme was Terrain – how to manage it, how to choose your line through it etc. All very useful stuff. It was a capacity crowd at the UBC Forestry Centre, and there was a buzz in the air about snow in the mountains!
Presenters included G3 ambassodor Brian Gould presenting on "Climax avalanches" with some impressive (and scary) photos.
